Wow. Someone can't read the joke in there ("I'd love to share x embarrassing story but I promised I wouldn't") and is clearly afeared of everyone thinking he'd ever be willing to do something girly even once! Have no fear, Brett. Your family knows you're not girly, and your girly friends probably know it too. Which means you're only defending yourself against the unidentified "guests" who happen to pop in here. Personally, I think you should've taken the fiver from that chick in junior high. It's not like there wasn't remover in the house for when you got home.

Ennyhoo.

Congrats on post number 300... I'm not going to marathon like Cheryl did that one time just so I can catch up (it'll only take 14 more posts, you see), so your record is safe for the moment.

I never meant to insinuate that you'd ever paint your nails. But if a pretty girl offered you a cuticle pusher after she invited you to her parents' home for Christmas... well, you just might take her up on the offer. Wink

LATEST NEWS:

After three and a half months of not calling me (because I raised my rates, so they didn't think they could afford me anymore), my primary client has called me back to work this week. I spent Monday in Shelbyville KY, yesterday in Lawrenceburg KY, and today I'll be working in the Georgetown KY office.

So that's why you haven't been able to have lunch with me in Lexington KY.

~~~~~~
OTHER NEWS
Allstate bought me a new roof, so I will create a webpage soon which shows the entire process of how I got it, including the visit from the insurance adjuster and the visit from the hardworking roofers.
And I went to a birthday party where I provided karaoke (from my laptop) and took lots of pictures.
~~~~

here is a new page for the search-engine spiders: the new Alanis song heard on "House MD" last night

BRETT'S FLORIDA LIFE:

We take a quick break from the Lexington Life story to bring you a special report about Florida Life.

Dad and I are watching network television, and he is teaching me about channels that end in decimal points. This is completely new to me, since the only television I ever watch is either on (1) an analog, over-the-air set with a "bunny ears" antenna, or on (2) my PC, via BitTorrent.

Apparently, modern televisions with digital tuners can tune to channels that end in POINT-ONE, like the channel 35.1. It's crazy. At the same time, though, it's great, and I welcome the change.

Here, Dad, here's that link you wanted:

Today Brett took me to the mall (even though I hate the mall, contrary to what he might think) for lunch and shared a coupon with me so we could both get corn dogs and drinks for the low price of $3.90 total.

He also informed me before we left my office that it wasn't very cold outside so I didn't need my jacket when it was, in fact, QUITE cold outside for someone who didn't have thermal underwear on.

However, I'd say a good time was had by all. Smile

P.S. If anyone needs someone to be there for you 24/7 that's a "good listener," Brett and I know where you can get that for $10.

Tonight at dinner, I was handing over some change to the cashier and discovered that I have a 1941 Mercury "Winged Liberty" dime!! I have never had one of these before, so I am locking it away with all the multitudes of bicentennial quarters I've been hoarding for a few decades.

My dime is really crappy quality, so it's not even worth a dollar, but here are enlarged images of a perfect-quality 1941 dime that you can enjoy:

I'll bet National City Bank gave me this coin today when I cashed a paycheck there. If it wasn't them, then I don't know who gave it to me.

Two nights ago I went to a dance that Heather had reminded me about. It was loads o'fun. Did a lot of flirting but didn't pursue any new girlfriends (yet).

The dance must have really loosened up some stuff inside my head because I was seriously dizzy all day Sunday. What a strange sensation. At any moment, I could easily have fallen over just by turning my head quickly, but I kept my head still and survived the day.

This morning I am much less dizzy, so there's little doubt that I'll have a stress-free week.

(is this entry number 1000?)

Yay! I'm glad to hear you went to the dance. Good for you! And that's totally understandable about the dizziness. Keep your eyes on your partner's eyes when you swing - that should help. It'll get easier with more practice.

Wink

Yeah, Brett, why don't you practice more? What, do you think you can dance?

Attended two dances last weekend; uploaded a short video from the second dance to my Facebook account.

Here's a photo which was shot immediately after the video was shot. My Valentine's Day plan currently includes dancing with these two women:

Made a video journal entry on Saturday afternoon and uploaded it to my Facebook account.

Basically, if you ain't on Facebook, it's a lot harder for you to keep up with my Lexington life...

Today I ate lunch at Corky's Ribs & BBQ and, for the first time in my life, ordered a pulled pork BBQ sandwich. It was yummy! Thanks for taking me out to lunch, Brett!
