Lately I have been practicing the piano every day, even running tedious drills on fundamentals like scales. Most likely I am doing this because it's what makes Bill Murray more desirable to Andie MacDowell in Groundhog Day; that seems like a nice goal to set for myself.

Today, to make a photoblog entry, I am posting the following 2 pix:

Not bad... Mr. Mason, you say this is your first lesson? Was your father a piano mover, by any chance?

Brett's post number 100 =
"If my father could rearrange the dictionary, he'd put U and I together. Because we both love to quote Groundhog Day."

Hey, hloaroo isn't actually my pilot friend Jeff Gerdes whom Danny Mason the pilot met once and ended up getting married and moving to Hawaii, is it (are you)? {Wow, would someone please offer me a better, more grammatically-correct way of asking that question?} Jeff is nearly famous in these parts for not-really-quoting movies that he quotes.

Great quote, btw. If I watched my copy of Groundhog Day more often, I'd be able to say something pithily appropriate right now, like "Don't you worry about cholesterol?" but I haven't seen it in awhile, so I won't. Don't drive angry. Hates white chocolate.

No, Heather is married to Alex and has a cat named Dayz (or Daisy, but she spells it weird - I think) and they live in Lexington. And, there's no way I can even begin to fix your grammar! Dayz has a webpage on MySpace and Heather is a stage actress (well, she's in a butt load of plays, anyway!) I don't really know what Alex does. He seems to be the strong, silent (and bald, like Brett) type.

I am also a huge fan of Groundhog Day and couldn't quote it if I was offered money or something even more substantial (like extra tickets to Universal so that Rachel and Jesse can invite even more people next weekend)

Thanks for trying to fill me in on Heather (whose face I finally got to see, but before you assured me she is not, in fact, Jeff, who is a pilot I once knew who moved to Hawaii and got married, and who Danny met, and who loved to misquote movies) and for making me correct my own grammar, which I don't think I actually did, because if you look carefully, this is ONE LONG SENTENCE!
